Impending radio silence

Tomorrow we're moving house. In fact we've been moving house for about the last week but tomorrow is D-day which also means no Internet access for the foreseeable.

So, I'll see you on the other side some time and, in the meantime, here's a great post from the guys (or more specifically gal) at Abaddon about The Ulysses Quicksilver Omnibus coming this autumn.

A couple of reviews...

First up is a review of Pax Britannia: Blood Royal, over at Total Sci-Fi Online. I particularly liked this bit...

"...once Quicksilver and his friends get into combat, the action sequences are told with a directorial eye."

And then there's one of Pax Britannia: Leviathan Rising, over at Pornokitsch, which includes such choice comments as...

"Most importantly, Leviathan Rising, above everything else, is fun. Deliriously so. Every page is infected with a wonderful sense of joy."

And...

"Being over-the-top is commonplace, but being genuinely entertaining is rare - the difference between telling a dirty joke and being Bill Hicks... the author deftly combines punchy dialogue with lurid description; painting a wonderful, exotic world and then populating it with sharp heroes, sinister villains and horrendous beasties."

Pye Parr's Perilous Pax Britannia Picture Preparations

Simon Parr has updated his blog recently with some images of proposed cover ideas for The Ulysses Quicksilver Omnibus that is out later this year.

You can find out more about the design process and see what might have been (along with the current 'final' design) here.

Pax Britannia Podcast

Just a reminder (via the Abaddon Books page) that the latest Abaddon/Solaris podcast is now available from iTunes.

It features Jon Oliver, Al Ewing and myself talking about all things steampunk...

Signed by the author

Family Green are on the move. As of a week on Friday, we're moving out of the house that we have lived in for the last half a decade - which means packing. And it's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate in five years.

So it's goodbye to all this...

And this - my writing shelf...

And I find myself needing to off load myself of a large number of books. And this is where you come in.

You can own an original, first edition copy of the Jonathan Green book of your choice (pretty much) and it will, of course, be signed by the author.

So, follow this link to my Ebay page - but don't hang around, the items are only up for 5 days!
